Joshua Tree National Park receives over 1.3 million visitors a year who enjoy the park, the unique Joshua Trees that grow only in this area and the wildlife. Landers is located only 20 minutes from the Park, so live here and really enjoy all the outdoors has to offer.
Local News: The Landers Association is has their general meeting on the 2nd Sat. of each month, with special speakers on local topics. Everyone is welcome, pot luck is at 5 p.m. and the meeting at 6 p.m.
* Quilters meet every Tuesday at 10 a.m. Instruction is available so come for the quilting bee and the lunch they provide.
*The High Desert Garden Club meets on the 4th Saturday of each month, from 2 to 4 p.m. The desert is a great place to grow almost any plant.
*Vets and their dependents are given free help with forms and programs every month on the 3rd Friday from 9 a.m. til 1 p.m.
*Card players meet Weds. at 1 p.m. so bring your energy and join the group.
